Garden City Shopping Centre and the Western Australian Museum return for another captivating collaboration this July school holidays. This time they are educating young minds about how they can contribute to the conservation and preservation of our beautiful marine life and what goes on under the sea. Families will enter a deep ocean reef to begin exploring the wonders and diversity of what lies beneath.
What will be hard to miss is the 20-metre long giant inflatable octopus that has swim into the Garden City Shopping Centre.
Children can participate in deep sea games for the chance to win family passes to the ‘Voyages to the Deep’ exhibition at WA Maritime Museum. The enchanting discovery continues with activities that allow children to consider the different species of animals living in the ocean and how they survive.
From exploring the waters to becoming a part of the action, kids will further learn about human impact on marine life through uncovering what lies in the deepest and darkest parts of the sea, the ferocious Anglerfish whose lure is its guiding light in the dark.
If that isn’t enough, there will also be a specimen display which will include a killer whale skull and a series of expert talks from the museum’s Aquatic Zoology Department.
The school holiday activities are free for all to enjoy & for all ages..
